The Classic Aston Martin brand is reborn in the Fourth Generation Vantage

As you cruise through the night, the interstate belongs to you. Not a state trooper in sight, you feel safe enough to put the pedal down on your high performance automobile. You fly down the road gracefully, feeling like a gazelle. Thats when you hear me. Even at a distance it makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. A roar thats unmistakable, and coming up fast. You are a gazelle, and behind you is a tiger.

You see me in the rear-view mirror, my headlights so narrow they remind you of the eyes of a jungle cat. As I begin to overtake you, you get your first good look at me. Fierce and sleek. With a front and rear overhang shorter than any other sports car. Wide haunches in the rear wheels. Is it your imagination, or can you actually see muscles rippling under the impossibly smooth, flawless skin? I pass you by effortlessly. You are not on my menu tonight. As you watch me disappear into the distance, taillights spreading over the entire width of the car seem to mock you dismissively. Its at this moment you realize youve been holding your breath all this time.

I am the Aston Martin Vantage. And it is no accident I look like a hunter; I am one. Designed as a GT race car, at the Nrburgring Nordschleife-based endurance race I did just as I was meant to do; I dominated.

The Aston Martin Vantage was first introduced in 1977 and for the next 13 years only 458 would be produced. 288 would be manufactured when it returned in 1993, and would have one more run from 2005 to 2018 before its latest incarnation. But this isnt like most supercars, where they take last years model and make an incremental change and call it new. This is a total redesign spearheaded by Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman. Inspired by the Aston Martin Vulcan race car and the DB 10 created exclusively for the James Bond film Spectre, the 2019 Vantage is the start of a new era for Aston Martin and its new owners. Sporting a 4 liter twin turbocharged V8 under the hood, the Vantage boasts 0 to 62 in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of nearly 200 mph. The electronic limited-slip differential distributes torque between the front and back 50/50. With the wider rear tires, the Vantage is a perfectly balanced automobile, having shed over 200 lbs since its last incarnation. Available in 8 speed automatic or 7 speed dog leg manual transmission, and a multitude of exterior and interior configurations.
