Miller Motorcars Aston Martin

Used European Cars near Bridgeport, CT

Every European car in the premium segment promises exceptional driving. The meaningful question is what kind of exception. A used Aston Martin DB11 and a used McLaren 720S are both extraordinary European cars. They are extraordinary in entirely different ways, and confusing the two when deciding what to buy is an expensive mistake. For buyers near Bridgeport, CT who are comparing used European cars across multiple marques, the useful exercise is understanding what each brand actually prioritizes behind the wheel before the test drives start.

Miller Motorcars in Greenwich carries used inventory across Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari, Bentley, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Rolls-Royce, Bugatti, and Pagani. The group is the only factory-authorized dealer for these special brands in the state of Connecticut. That concentration of marque expertise at a single address, roughly 20 miles from Bridgeport via I-95, gives buyers access to a side-by-side comparison that is not possible anywhere else in the region.

Aston Martin: Grand Touring Defined

Aston Martin builds cars around the Grand Touring brief: long distances covered at high speed in exceptional comfort, with a visual and acoustic presence that rewards the effort. The DB11 is the most directly expressive version of that philosophy in the used market.

DB11 V8 and V12

The DB11 V8 uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 503 horsepower and 675 Nm of torque. It reaches 62 mph in 4.0 seconds and hits a top speed of 187 mph. The V12 variant moves to a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 producing 600 horsepower and 700 Nm, which Aston Martin describes as the most powerful DB production model in the brand history. The bonded aluminium body structure keeps weight down while the AeroBlade rear downforce system eliminates the need for a visible rear spoiler. Inside, sumptuous natural materials and generous proportions make the DB11 a true 2+2 with 54 mm more rear headroom and 87 mm more rear legroom than its predecessor. Miller Motorcars currently has a 2021 Aston Martin DB11 Volante available alongside the 2025 Aston Martin DB12 at $314,500.

DBS Superleggera and Vantage

The DBS Superleggera elevates the formula further with a 715-horsepower V12 in a body styled around both grand touring practicality and visual drama. The Vantage takes the opposite brief: a pure driver focus with a shorter wheelbase, sharper suspension calibration, and a character that is more aggressive and less forgiving than the DB11 or DBS. Used examples of the Vantage, DBS Superleggera Volante, and the Rapide AMR have moved through Miller Motorcars inventory, and the Aston Martin showroom page lists current availability across the full lineup.

McLaren: The Performance-First Calculation

McLaren approaches car design from a different direction than Aston Martin. Where Aston builds GT cars that can be driven with aggression, McLaren builds performance cars that are livable enough for road use. The distinction is meaningful when comparing the two brands in the used market.

720S and 750S

The McLaren 720S is the car that defined the 700-series generation and gave McLaren a credible answer to the Ferrari 488 at equivalent price points. A twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 produces 710 horsepower in a carbon fiber monocoque structure that keeps curb weight below 3,200 pounds. The result is 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 212 mph. The active suspension system adjusts in real time, and the track and comfort modes differ dramatically enough that the 720S is genuinely usable on the Post Road and genuinely committed on a track day. Miller Motorcars carries pre-owned McLaren inventory including the 720S, 750S, Artura, and the 600LT. The 750S, which updated the 720S with 740 horsepower and revised aerodynamics, represents the most current version of this brief in the used market.

600LT and the Longtail Models

The LT designation in the McLaren lineup indicates a Longtail variant, a reference to the 1997 F1 GTR race car. The 600LT takes the 570S Sport Series and extracts more performance through reduced weight, a top-exit exhaust, and a rear wing calibrated for meaningful downforce rather than passive styling. It is louder, stiffer, and less forgiving than the standard 570S, which makes it the correct choice for track-day regulars and the wrong choice for buyers who want a GT experience. Understanding which McLaren brief matches actual usage is the most important purchase decision in this category.

Ferrari: Emotion as Engineering

Ferrari builds cars around a specific promise: no other driving experience on earth should feel like this one. The engineering serves that emotional brief rather than the other way around. For used car buyers, that means the Ferrari ownership experience is inseparable from the community, the heritage, and the specific acoustic character of the engines.

488 and F8 Tributo

The 488 and its successor the F8 Tributo both use twin-turbocharged V8 engines in mid-engine layout, with the F8 producing 710 horsepower and reaching 62 mph in 2.9 seconds. The transition from the naturally aspirated 458 to the turbocharged 488 generation shifted the power delivery character, and buyer preference between the two generations divides roughly along the lines of who wants linear response over instant turbo torque. Miller Motorcars operates Ferrari of Greenwich, the only authorized Ferrari dealer in Connecticut, with pre-owned inventory including the 488 Spider, 488 Pista Spider, F8 Tributo, and the F8 Spider.

Bentley: Power and Refinement Without Compromise

Bentley exists at the intersection of hand-crafted luxury and serious performance. The Continental GT uses a twin-turbocharged W12 producing 626 horsepower while offering interior appointments that rival the finest hotel suites. The Bentayga brought that formula into a large SUV format with a 600-horsepower W12 option and AWD as standard. Miller Motorcars carries pre-owned Bentley inventory through Bentley of Greenwich, with the Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Bentayga all appearing regularly in circulation. For Bridgeport-area buyers who want the most usable European luxury vehicle in terms of occupant comfort and all-weather capability, the Bentayga with its standard AWD is often the answer.

Comparing Driving Character Across the Marques

The simplest framework for comparing these marques: Aston Martin prioritizes sensation through elegance, McLaren prioritizes sensation through precision, Ferrari prioritizes sensation through drama, and Bentley prioritizes comfort that happens to be very fast.

A buyer who drives mountain roads for pleasure and wants a car that feels like an event will respond differently to an Aston Vantage than to a McLaren 600LT. Both are extraordinary. One is a scalpel and the other is a piece of art that happens to be sharp. A buyer whose primary use case is intercity travel in comfort with occasional spirited driving will find the DB11 far more natural than the 720S. And a buyer whose collection already contains a performance-focused car and who wants something that can carry the family to dinner will find the Bentayga or the Maserati Quattroporte more appropriate than anything in the McLaren or Ferrari catalog.

The certified pre-owned inventory at Miller Motorcars covers examples across these marques that have passed manufacturer-backed inspection standards. The classics inventory extends the selection to earlier examples of these and other marques for buyers with a collector orientation.

Insufficient Funds

If a person writes a check without sufficient funds in an associated account to cover it, the check will bounce, or be returned for insufficient funds. Each state has laws regulating how merchants may respond to bounced checks. In Connecticut, the merchant may file a civil suit and press criminal charges if the check writer does not reimburse him for a bounced check after the merchant has sent several notices regarding the matter.

Posted Notice Requirement

Merchants and other business owners who accept checks must post a notice where customers are likely to see it warning them of the potential consequences of writing bad checks. The notice must include the civil penalties that bad check writers may face, the appropriate Connecticut statute number and an advisory that the check writer may also face criminal penalties

Civil and Criminal Penalties

As of 2010, civil courts may require the check writer to reimburse the merchant for the value of the check plus pay up to $750 if he has no back account or $400 if the check is returned for insufficient funds. If the merchant chooses to press criminal charges, the bad check writer may face a fine of up to $1,000 and up to one year in jail. Writing a bad check is a felony charge if the check was for more than $1,000 and a misdemeanor if written for a lesser amount.

Required Written Notices

If a check bounces, the merchant must send the check writer a letter by certified mail at the check writer's last known address or place of business. Usually this letter is sent to the address on the writer's check. The letter must inform the writer that the check was returned ask him to reimburse the merchant for the amount of the check and inform him of the potential criminal or civil penalties if he fails to do so. If the check writers does not respond to the letter within 15 days of receipt, the merchant must send a second letter. This letter must inform the check writer that he has 30 days to reimburse the merchant before the merchant takes legal action against him. Both letters must be written in both English and Spanish.
